This is the outerwear my sister wore this winter in Siberia. She had ordered the coat from Landsend during Spring, and it was $79 on sale, down from $179...great bargain!
When she arrived in Siberia, she found that it was comparable to what the Russians wear! It's temperature rating is -40 to -10 degrees, and yes, Siberian winters are that cold!
She had taken boots also, but they did not do the job...she had to buy boots there, which were Ecco Rise Gore-tex, and can be ordered from Zappos, if you want to go prepared!
She wore hat, scarf and mittens (gloves don't keep the fingers warm!) and the furry hood. Notice the frozen eyelashes...you might want to take waterproof mascara!
